澳大利亚的补充医药产品包括：草药、维生素、矿物质、营养补充剂、芳香性植物油和顺势疗法产品。根据《澳大利亚治疗物品法令1989》要求，澳大利亚治疗物品管理局(TGA)负责对补充医药产品进行监督管理。所有在澳大利亚上市、进口或出口的产品都在数据库中列有详细的信息。
绝大多数补充医药产品风险性较低，被列入ARTGL，TGA准许其描述的功能和适应症包括：维持人体健康；促进人体健康；营养支持作用；减轻非严重疾病的症状；协助治疗非严重疾病或症状；减低非严重疾病或症状的风险程度。
